I am able to fix all clocks, except the Atmos.
Free In-shop Estimates
We will inspect your clock at no charge if you bring it into our shop
and will provide you with a price to repair it before we do any work at
all.
Simple adjustments to major overhauls
Whether your clock just needs simple lubrication and adjusting, or a
complete cleaning and rebuilding. All clocks get disassembled,
ultrasonically cleaned, pivots polished, and bushings put in if needed.
Then the clock gets put back together and test run.
I deal with all parts of the clock movement; gears, arbors (the axles),
pivots, (the part that goes into the plate, that the gear turns on), and
mainsprings. Springs get taken out of barrels, if they are in barrels,
and get cleaned and inspected. Then lubed with special lubricant and
replaced.
This all amounts to a very well running clock. If it is your family
heirloom or just a clock that you want repaired, I can do it and do it
well.
Usually, it takes two to four weeks to get a
clock fixed to where you can come and pick it up. This is because I like
to make sure that they are running to my expectations.
I also do brass re-polishing and lacquering, and use original gold toned
lacquer too. That is extra to the repair costs, and is optional. If you
want it, I can do it.
I also do electric clocks. 400 day clocks (Anniversary) are a specialty
Great pride is give to each and every clock form minor clock repair to
the most intricate, including antique clock restoration.
Every clock appraisal is carefully researched,
in order to ascertain the correct value of the clock. Each clock moved,
packed or shipped by Mikes Clocks is handled with tender care.
